With its home office in Amarillo, Texas and data center operations in Amarillo, Hurst, and Waco, McM offers both in-house and outsourced turnkey data center services. The 150 McM customer banks are located in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, Nebraska, and Illinois. McM customers range in size from new charters to banks with over one billion dollars in assets. McM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a bank data processor: CSI of Paducah, Kentucky.
The Meridian banking system is owned, supported, and operated by McCoy Myers & Associates. The uniqueness of Meridian allows any bank, no matter the size or software requirements, to process either in-house or in one of the McM data centers. The McM customers have the ability of moving from in-house to data center services or from data center services to in-house, and can make this change overnight without any type of conversion. Having a product this unique and one that fits any bank’s need is achievable only through product design and the more than 2000 variables in setup and processing options.
The Meridian banking system will become the Meridian.Net banking system in mid-2009, and is a new direction in banking for all the McM customers. This major upgrade in technology is an expense-free change for all McM customers; it brings Microsoft-type technology to the desktop of every user. Meridian.Net allows for multiple windows and multiple inquiries on a single PC screen, with unique customized screen setups.
Customer support is the number-one priority of McM. The majority of McM’s staff comes from the banking world. We are bankers supporting bankers. McM is a one-stop service provider for all problems and resolutions. McM tracks all service issues from notification to completion.
A unique service offered by McM is our Account Manager program, where each customer bank is assigned an account manager who calls on the bank at least once each quarter. The account manager’s objective is to understand the bank’s needs and help to facilitate and follow up on solutions for them. The account managers also strive to be involved in the bank’s planning process so that the bank knows what role McM can play and what solutions we can provide to help them meet their strategic objectives. The account managers are the eyes and ears of McM. We want to help ensure that every bank is trained on Meridian and is using the products to the highest level based upon each bank’s needs.
When we talk about “our” software, we really mean it. McM designs, installs, supports, and owns every piece of software that we distribute. This ensures proper understanding of and accountability for the delivered products. With annual enhancements at no additional charge, McM guarantees our customers the latest in software requirements and the ability to compete while improving their bottom lines. This is key for community banks in the future. By establishing a committee called the User Advisory Council, McM is able to gain insight to our customers’ needs on a regular basis. These needs or requests are implemented into the system annually by recommendation of the User Advisory Council. If a change is requested and not voted upon by the council, a customer may elect to have it custom-programmed into the system. The upcoming McM release will include the customization to all customers at no additional charge. Every customer benefits!
